Terms of Service

These terms were drafted from Online Dimensions' locked product decisions by an engineering process. They have not been reviewed by counsel and must not be treated as final before a real legal review. See docs/legal/DISCLAIMER.md in the project repository for the full statement.
The service
Online Dimensions builds marketing, brochure, and portfolio websites from the answers you give in our intake questionnaire. You pay once up front for the initial build, receive an allowance of included revision work, and are handed the finished site as a downloadable archive together with a deployment guide.
Ownership of the delivered site
Ownership of the delivered site's source code transfers in full to you on final delivery. You may deploy it, modify it, and re-license it as you see fit. Online Dimensions retains no ownership interest in the delivered code and asserts no ongoing licence over it.
Hosting
Unless you choose otherwise, Online Dimensions does not host your site. We deliver an archive and a deployment guide; you deploy the site to your own server and domain. The price of the build includes no ongoing hosting and no ongoing hosting fee.
What this service does not cover
E-commerce and booking functionality are outside the automated service. If your brief asks for either — at intake or during revisions — we will not refuse it: we route the request to a separately quoted, manually delivered engagement outside this pipeline, and we will contact you about it. Nothing in that separate engagement is covered by the price you paid here.
Revisions
A set amount of revision work is included in the price of your initial build; your project's revisions page shows how much remains. Revision work beyond that allowance is billed as prepaid blocks at the rate shown to you at the moment you purchase each block; you buy into a block before the work in it starts, never after. Requests that fall well outside your original brief — a whole new section, a different type of site — may be quoted separately rather than drawn from the included allowance.
Refunds
Where your payment has settled but no build work has started, a refund is available on request and we can issue it directly. Once a build has begun, refunds are handled case by case rather than automatically, because real generation cost has already been incurred on your behalf. This is our current policy and it is subject to change; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time you paid.
Payment handling
Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout pages and never reach Online Dimensions' servers. We store the amount charged and Stripe's own identifiers for the transaction, nothing more.
Content management (CMS) projects
This clause applies only to projects delivered with the optional bundled content-management variant. That variant is now available, and this clause governs any project delivered with it. For a CMS-enabled project, the pipeline generates a small backend application and database alongside the static site, and all of it is delivered to you. As with the rest of the delivered site (see "Hosting" above), from handoff onward, ongoing maintenance, security patching, and hosting of that backend are your responsibility.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your project is the one published on this page at the time you paid, and the last-updated date above is how you can tell which that was.
